Come forward to the Aid of Flood Devastated People of Bangladesh


Extend your helping hands in the relief and rehabilitation work for the Flood Devastated people of our country. Our concerted effort can lessen the hardship of the marooned victims.

Already many persons and organizations have already come forward, helping in assorted means; directly to the victims, contributing cash or kind in various dependable Relief Funds or organizing local relief work. Money being donated to the Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund has been declared tax-free as per a previous government order SRO (no-125-act/91) dated 5 May, 1991, a fresh government announcement confirms this.

Some of the donations and contributions listed below:
->GP donates Tk 43.1m to the CA's Relief Fund.
->Sri Lanka donates US$.25,000 to the CA’s Relief Fund.
->Prime Bank Ltd. donated Tk.20 lakh to the GOC of 19th Infantry Division for relief of the flood affected people of that area.
-> Dhaka Club donated Tk.10 lakh to the CA’s Relief Fund.
-> Bank Asia Ltd. donated Tk.10 lakh to the CA’s Relief Fund.
-> Standard Chartered Bank donated Tk.1.5 crore to the CA’s Relief Fund.
-> Summit Group donated Tk.10 lakh to the CA’s Relief Fund.
-> Shahjalal Islami Bank donated Tk.20 lakh to the CA’s Relief Fund.
-> Members of BDR donated their one day’s salary worth Tk.54,86,387.
-> Department of Pharmacy and Biological Science of Dhaka University launched a saline making project.
-> Sweden has decided to grant US$3 lakh to Bangladesh.
-> Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency sanction donation of SEK1 million ($1.5 lakh) to Save the Children Sweden for relief work and another SEK1 million to the Swedish Red Cross.
-> Saudi Arabia would provide $50 million for helping the flood-hit people and food & other materials.
-> Members of Bangladesh Army donated their one day’s salary.
-> Employees Banglalink donated their one day’s salary.
-> Bangladesh Army set up mobile hospital for the floor victims.
